We are seeking a reliable, friendly and bilingual Medical Assistant to become part of our team.  We are a very busy OBGYN office in Homestead that is fully electronic.  Our Medical Assistant will perform routine administrative and clinical duties to keep our medical facility running efficiently.  

Responsibilities:

·         Assist doctor in room with patient paps and procedures, 

·         Make sure patients sign appropriate consent forms for procedures,

·         Draw blood

·         Send blood work to corresponding lab

·         Take patient vital signs

·         Call in prescriptions to pharmacy

·         Answering phones/Retrieve messages/Calling patients back

·         Follow up with patients results and questions

·         Order supplies weekly/biweekly

·         Put supplies away/stock rooms daily

·         Wash and sterilize instruments daily

·         Finish tasks sent by providers daily

 

Qualifications:

·         Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)

·         Previous healthcare experience required 

·         Phlebotomy skills preferred

·         Have excellent communication skills

·         Knowledge of EMR Intergy system a PLUS

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
